Work of Branch

Recruitment Operations:

Overseeing all aspects of recruitment processes for sanctioned cadres, in collaboration with Gujarat Public Service Commission and other relevant bodies. Conducting verification of academic qualifications, experience, caste, etc., as per stipulated requirements.

Appointment Procedures:

Executing actions for appointing candidates post-verification process, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.Managing the appointment process in alignment with organizational needs and legal standards.

Promotion and Pay Scale Management:

Handling promotions and adjustments in pay scale for officers/employees within the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation Coordinating with relevant authorities for salary fixation and verification processes.

Maintenance of Roster Registers

Maintaining and certifying various roster registers to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. Facilitating audits and inspections related to roster register management.

Disciplinary and Service Operations

Managing disciplinary proceedings and departmental investigations concerning officers/employees. Overseeing operations related to the permanentization of fixed salary employees.

Pre-Primary School Administration

Administering pre-primary schools owned by Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation, ensuring quality education delivery and compliance with educational standards.

Employee Management

Administering all officers/employees from Class-1 to 4, including processing applications related to deputation, leave, pay fixation, retirement, etc. Facilitating performance evaluations and Sevapothi procedures for permanent officers/employees.

Special Employment Initiatives

Handling processes related to the employment of physically challenged individuals and the management of deceased Class-IV employees as per government policies.

Outsourcing Operations

Managing the tender process for appointing outsourcing and security agencies, ensuring transparency and efficiency.Overseeing all operations related to outsourcing personnel, including bill payments and compliance.

Circulars and Announcements

Disseminating circulars and announcements in accordance with organizational directives and requirements. Ensuring timely communication of important updates and information to relevant stakeholders.

RTI Operations

Handling all operations related to Right to Information (RTI) requests, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and facilitating transparency in governance.
